Feel For Yourself – Is Sensation Possible After a Double Mastectomy?
Brianna Wesley-Majsiak lost her mother to breast cancer at the age of five. Twenty-one years later, she made the life-altering decision to undergo a preventative double mastectomy. Disheartened by the options presented to her, Bri took matters into her own hands. Using social media, she discovered Doctors Anne and Ziv Peled, who, after Anne’s own diagnosis, pioneered a groundbreaking surgical technique aiming to preserve sensation in patients’ breasts. In this video, I followed Brianna to San Francisco for her one-year sensation test, sitting down with the surgeon(s) who challenged and changed the surgical landscape forever.
